Istanbul · Cappadocia · Ephesus · Pamukkale
Ten days allow more time to take in the classic Istanbul–Cappadocia–Aegean route. The journey begins with Istanbul’s layered history, continues through Cappadocia’s valleys and underground heritage, then turns to the thermal landscape of Pamukkale and the streets of ancient Ephesus. This is the fuller option for travellers who want the same major destinations at a more considered pace.
Istanbul layers Byzantine and Ottoman history across a living city on the Bosphorus. The Old City brings together major monuments, public squares and busy markets, while the waterfront shows how Europe and Asia meet here. The exact order of visits follows the daily programme.
Cappadocia is shaped by soft volcanic rock, centuries of settlement and a landscape unlike anywhere else on the route. Look for fairy chimneys, carved spaces and broad valley views; different viewpoints reveal how geology and human history overlap. Balloon flights are not assumed to be included and depend on separate arrangements and conditions.
Ephesus reveals the scale of an ancient Mediterranean city through its marble streets, theatre, public buildings and celebrated Library of Celsus. Walking the site makes the layout of everyday urban life easier to imagine than photographs alone. Some itineraries also continue to the House of the Virgin Mary and the site of the Temple of Artemis.
Pamukkale is known for brilliant white travertine terraces formed by mineral-rich thermal water. Above them, Hierapolis adds ancient streets, a theatre and traces of a long spa tradition. Access to individual pools and bathing areas can vary, so follow local site rules and the confirmed tour inclusions.
